The Exotic path differs depending on if the nation has a unique unit, i.e. All nations have the following paths: Light Infantry, Heavy Infantry, Light Cavalry, Heavy Cavalry, Galley and Carrack.

Idea choice for each type has been expanded to 16, and is no longer locked behind technology levels. All governments now get 4 slots of each type (Civic, Oratory, Religious, Martial). Pop Types can be promoted between each other freely. Pop Types have been changed to Noble (Manpower), Scholar (Research), Merchant (Commerce) and Peasant (Tax and Goods).
